I feel it’s time to really put some of the misconceptions about Hypnobirthing to bed 🛏
I’m feeling increasingly more alarmed when I hear people making wild assumptions about what it means to prepare with Hypnobirthing.
When I hear judgements about whether it ‘worked’ or didn’t - it makes me wonder why that might be.
If you enjoyed a Pilates class or a yoga class for pregnancy, You wouldn’t assume it hadn’t worked if your birth didn’t go to plan.
You would have enjoyed the emotional and physical benefits it had during your pregnancy.
Birth is Birth
Whether you Birth in a pool, In an operating theatre or in a field.
You CANNOT get it wrong!
Ffs you have grown a small human.
And in all of the circumstances above, Hypnobirthing will absolutely help you.
It’s not magic, you may not feel like you’re floating on candy floss clouds ☁️ and fairies will probably not appear 🧚🏽♂️🧚🏻♀️🧚🏽♂️🧚🏾♀️
But when you practice the techniques and get informed you will undoubtedly feel calmer and more empowered. You will be able to make decisions that feel right for you and your baby and will feel much more unified with your birth partner.
Do some women talk about pain free birth? YES absolutely, but if anyone is selling you that, they most definitely aren’t sharing the same message as me.
Please stop 🛑 making women believe that there is such thing as a ‘hypnobirth’
My ‘perfect’ Birth certainly would not have been most women’s perception of ‘perfect’ because we are all different. We are all unique as is each and every Birth!
